Still here

Yesterday was Yancy’s last day at AT&T. I think he’s actually happy about it. He wasn’t really a good fit for that job anyways and now he’s free to look for something more fulfilling. Wish him luck! The sad part is that this most likely means we’ll loose the house loan (not that we’ve heard anything back about our offer anyways). There’s a very small chance that if he can get a new position with the staffing company he worked through, we’ll still get to buy the house (there’s a Microsoft interview in the works). But that’s a small chance… And we’re OK with it. After lots of thinking and talking, we are perfectly ok with going back to “plan A.” Our original plan was to move to a cheap apartment after our current lease was up and really buckle down over the next year or two to pay off debt. Then we’ll be less stressed and have more open doors. Putting our money into a mortgage would be fantastic. But so would getting out of debt and then buying a home that we absolutely love. So things are still in the air, but whatever comes, Yancy and I will accept it with a calm determination. Things will work out fine, they always do!

I am feeling nearly all better. I do still feel really tired most of the time (stress could be part of that), and did have some pretty bad coughing today. But I made it to practice and had a great work out: an “ausie” style brick. Today’s brick was 1o mile bike ride, 2 mile run, 10 mile bike ride, 2 mile run (but I probably only did half the last run after I started having foot pain). Still feels good to get back out there and do some real triathlon training! I have a half marathon coming up in a few weeks and I have a lot of work to do to get ready!

Poor Yancy is still under the weather. He’s planning to go to the doctor on Monday to make sure it’s not a sinus infection like what I had. But tomorrow we’re going to a Sounders game. Seattle Sounders vs Vancouver Whitecaps. Whoo hooo! Hope the weather stays warm like it was today. (well warm for Spring anyways)

Good night!
